Memory foam is a type of synthetic polymer material, also known as polyurethane polymer.
What is special about StretchGo memory foam?
MDI stands for Methylene diphenyl diisocyanate, which is a type of diisocyanate used in the production of polyurethane foam, including memory foam. MDI is a critical raw material in the manufacture of high-quality polyurethane foams because of its ability to produce flexible and durable foam structures. MDI is highly friendly compared to TDI (toluene diisocyanate), a material that is widely used in the past. MDI also has better environmental properties, as it does not contain formaldehyde or other harmful substances.
StretchGo's MDI material is provided by the polyurethane industry giant, Wanhua. MDI is produced using liquid phase phosgenation process, which includes multiple steps such as integrated reaction and phosgenation reaction. The high difficulty and complexity of the manufacturing process have formed high entry barriers, and currently, only 8 companies in the world, including Wanhua (Bayer, BASF, Huntsman, Dow, NPU, and Mitsui Chemicals), can produce MDI. Cooperation with Wanhua is another golden guarantee of StretchGo's quality.
